“When you play, never mind who listens to you.”
– Robert Schumann

Welcome to the D K Piano Studio. The studio will give your child (or yourself) a variety of repertoire in Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Contemporary music. In addition, they will receive intensive education in theory, ear training and music history. There are opportunities for contests and performance. Any student with an interest in using his/her talent in worship can discuss this with me. I will assist in any way possible.

Term

Summer term is flexible. The School Year Contract consists of 32 lessons, fall term is from August 28 to December 22, 2023; spring term is from January 8 to May 17, 2024 and will basically follow the Cy-Fair ISD Calendar (furnished) with a few exceptions as noted. The last week of lessons will be my make-up week should I need to take off any unscheduled week(s) during the 34 teaching weeks. These weeks are also available so that you have the possibility of making up a missed lesson as there are no make-up lessons.

Music

I purchase the music as needed for each student. You will be billed for any materials furnished. There will be an exchange policy in effect on sheet music or books that are still in good condition. This does not include method books or theory books.

Tuition

Tuition shall be due at the beginning of the year, or on a monthly basis,in advance, due on or before the tenth of each month. All payments received after the 10th of the month are subject to a $15.00 late fee. The late fee will go on your bill. When necessary, other terms may be arranged. Statements are sent via e-mail. Please be sure to include a valid e-mail address that will be checked regularly. Be sure to check the additional e-mail and attachments each month for special activities and notices.

This fee includes membership as a Student Affiliate of the Texas Music Teachers and Music Teachers National Association, National Federation of Music Clubs and a materials fee. It also holds your requested time for lessons. If it is not received by the August10, lesson times are first come, first served.
